The Media Theatre's assembled a cast of Philly all-stars and a live orchestra for its latest production, The Wizard of Oz, featuring Anna Rosenthal as Dorothy, Jennie Eisenhower as The Witch and Elisa Matthews as Glinda. Head down the yellow brick road with the Scarecrow, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion, Dorothy and her little dog, Toto, too, in this fresh and enchanting Broadway musical adaptation of The Wizard of Oz, featuring new tunes by Tim Rice (Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita) and Andrew Lloyd Webber (The Phantom of the Opera, Cats). Based on the classic screenplay and featuring music from the Oscar-winning movie, this is the beloved story of the girl who wakes up in a strange land filled with witches and wizards, munchkins and monkeys -- and befriends a lion, a tin man and a scarecrow in her quest to find her way back home. The unforgettable score includes all-time favorites like "Over the Rainbow," "We're Off to See the Wizard" and "If I Only Had a Brain."
